Submitted by admin on September 29, 2009 – 3:45 amOne Comment

I have upgraded my yahoo mail to yahoo mail plus. With yahoo mail plus I can use pop to access my emails using outlook express. However, a lot of my old emails are in the yahoo folders and I want to transfer those emails to outlook express. Is backing up the yahoo emails possible ? After I backup the emails how can I transfer it to my outlook express ?

OE will download mails only from Inbox, not from your other folders. You might try this…
Set up the same folder structure in OE that you have on your web mail (Yahoo mail). Then in your Yahoo account, one folder at a time, move all the messages to the Inbox and mark them as Unread. This will make OE think they should be downloaded. Open your OE and download them into the Inbox of OE. You can then move them to the appropriate folder in OE. Go back to your Yahoo account and either delete them, or move them back to their original folder. Move the next folder’s messages into the Inbox and repeat the whole process.
The above is a bit of work, but it seems to be the only way to get all the mails into your OE.
