Without knowing what you mean by windows mail, I can only suggest you go to the Yahoo mail web page, find the options hyperlink (top right in Yahoo classic) and click on it. You should be able to find something that relates to POP access and forwarding. Changes here may prevent the redirection.
As a general help, when using any windows software, the programmer will have taken time to provide two very useful pieces of information. One is the help facility. The other is called about. See if you can find the drop down menus. The first is conventionally labelled File and the last Help. Click on the word help and a menu drops down. Now click on one of the selections to find out more.
Most software will have a way to set user preferences aka options aka configurations. Check out any selections that may appear under the file drop down menu and under other menus such as tools for something to give you a clue.
I suspect that Windows Mail, whatever that is, will have run a helper wizard when first used which set up the redirection without your knowledge. The software will have warned you what it was doing and possibly required entry of account and password information. The help/faq/tutorial features of Windows Mail should tell you how to do this manually, how to change the information stored and how to break the relationship. If not, uninstall it!
