try AVG free edition is pretty good thats what I use and I dont have any viruses at all, go to grisoft.com and download it is very easy to use too

I would suggest KasperSky Antivirus. Thats the best Antivirus software I ever have. Better than Norton, Zone Alarm, McAfee.
They have Trial Versions

This is what I use, plus, I have yahoo tool bar. But I find that spywarestormer is the best at getting rid of virus’s. You pay about $40.00 one time, and you can update about once a week there after. I have had it for 3 years, and no problems.

I always suggest bullguard. You can have 3 month (I believe) trial period from http://www.bullguard.com. It’s not just a virus scanner, it’s also a firewall, spam filter and backup system as well. really neat, looks great, very light and done by the people for the people.
I am using AVGfree. It seems to be working great, the best part is that it’s free (no cost to you)
