How to Have an XBOX 360 Game Backup

Submitted by admin on December 16, 2009 – 2:30 amNo Comment

The XBOX 360 disk has a complicated encryption and makes it more difficult to copy it because of the said file type. However, as you well know, there is no such thing now in the world of technology that anyone cannot crack. It is not difficult to have an XBOX 360 game backup for as long as you know what to do and you have the tools.  You should not treat this lightly because at one time or another, your XBOX disks will get scratched. Besides, it is a lot better to use backup copies and preserve the original ones as collection items.

The things you will need are FTP connection between your computer and your XBOX, an X-ISO file for the disk, a DVD-ROM drive, and an empty re-writable DVD disk. The first step in having an XBOX 360 game backup is to build an FTP connection. Make sure that your XBOX is flashed. Once you are ready, go to your XBOX dashboard and settings and set the IP to 192.168.0.100. Change the subnet mask too to 255.255.255.0 and ensure that the static IP is turned ON, not OFF. Connect the XBOX to your PC’s Ethernet port and go to your PC’s Network Connection. Click on Internet Protocol and click Use the Follow IP and replace it with 192.168.0.1and change the subnet mask to the same as mentioned earlier.

Next, create an X-ISO for file for your XBOX 360 game backup by installing a software program that can decrypt and copy the X-BOX 360 game disk. Click on FTP folder then select the source of the game you want to copy which is either in the console’s hard drive or the disk. Once the X-ISO file is saved, you may now proceed and burn it on a DVD disk as you normally would with burning other data types. Make sure that your XBOX 360 game backup can be read by the XBOX 360 console by changing its mod chips.
